User Access Settings and Roles

The User Access Settings page lets you configure role-based access to the Boomi Cloud API Management or Control Center resources.

On the Users page, you can:

  • Assign Control Center Roles to users in an Organization.
  • Add or remove specific roles for a user account.
  • Add users to the Portal Access Groups for a specific Organization.

Account Status

The selection determines if your account is active or inactive in the Boomi Cloud API Management area.

  • Enabled: This indicates that your account is active in the Cloud API Management area. You can log in to Cloud API Management and view or modify the Control Center resources.

  • Disabled: This indicates that your account is inactive in the Cloud API Management area. All the permissions and package keys for your account are removed. You cannot log in to Cloud API Management via Boomi Enterprise Platform or the Boomi Cloud API Management dashboard.

Control Center Roles

The selection grants you access to a user account in any organization to sign into Boomi Cloud API Management.

To view which role has permissions to which parts of the Boomi Cloud API Management area, refer to Control Center Roles and Permissions.

info

A user may have roles assigned outside of your organization. These roles are not visible to you. The user roles that belong to Organizations other than your own Organization are not visible on this page.

Service User

The selection removes all other administrative roles for your account within Boomi Cloud API Management.

A Service User is a Control Center role that only allows service-level access to Boomi Cloud API Management. You can assign the Service User role with at least one additional area-level role to the Boomi Cloud API Management user.

important

For Boomi Platform-enabled areas, you cannot assign the Service User role in the Control Center for Platform-enabled users.

Portal Access Groups

The selection provides access to Interactive Documentation and Plans on the Developer Portal.

The Portal Access Group (PAG) is a group of Control Center resources (Plans and Interactive Documentation) + Developer Portal users (developers). It grants role-based user access to Developer Portal resources. The users in a specific PAG are restricted to access only the resources assigned to that particular PAG.

note

Only the Portal Access Groups of a user within your organization are accessible. A user may belong to Portal Access Groups owned by other organizations; in such a case, user memberships in other PAGs outside of your organization are not accessible.
